Edwin A. Koenen

Edwin A. Koenen, Jr. 60,of 428 South County W., Mount Calvary, died Sunday, August 6,2006 at Hospice Home of Hope surrounded by family, friends and loved ones. He was born in Milwaukee on February 17,1946 the son of Edwin Eva Voegele Koenen, Sr.On September 26,1970 he married Christine A. Ring at St. Lawrence Seminary Chapel in Mount Calvary. Christine preceded him in death on May 17,2005.Edwin was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving from 1965-69. He was owner/operator of Fond du Lac Mattress. Edwin was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph's Church. He was a member of the Fond du Lac Exchange Club and Fond du Lac Elks Lodge No. 57, B.P.O.E. Edwin enjoyed motorcycling, bowling, and working in his yard.Survivors include two children, Tina L. Koenen, Indianapolis, IN and Edwin A.(fiancé Abigail Harris) Koenen, III, Minneapolis/St. Paul, and Gary (Brenda) Zierke, Montello, sister-in-law, Cathi (Patrick) McGowan, Fond du Lac, brother-in-law, Orville Stobb, Markesan. Preceded in death by his parents, and his wife.



The family will receive friends on Friday, August 11,2006 from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A memorial mass will be held Friday, August 11,2006 at 5:30 P.M. at Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph's Church. Rev. Dennis Budka officiating.Cremation has taken place.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
