Eileen E. Dow, 79, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born October 4, 1934 in Cedarburg, WI, the daughter of Edwin and Mabel Schneider Gollnick. On October 3, 1959 she married John D. Dow at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedarburg, WI. Eileen worked for Mercury Marine as the president's assistant until 1964 when she began to raise her family. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and the church choir for over 20 years. Eileen enjoyed community theater, community concerts, singing in the church choir, reading, was an avid quilter and DWTS fan, and loved spending time with her family.She is survived by her husband, John; two daughters, Susan (Scott) McCreedy, Monument, CO and Laura Dow, Fond du Lac; two granddaughters, Courtney McCreedy, Denton, TX and Rachel McCreedy, Monument, CO; two brothers, Howard (Lore) Gollnick, Bradenton, FL and Robert (Dorothy) Gollnick, Ocean Shores, WA; two sisters, Barb (Bill) Henkel, Hawthorn Woods, IL and Carol Nobel, Tyler, TX; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.



A visitation will be held from 10:00 "“ 11:00 am on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Hope Lutheran Church. The memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Hope Lutheran Church, 260 Vincent Street in Fond du Lac with Rev. Steven Huff officiating.The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Francisco Soto of St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan for his care and to the staff of St. Agnes Hospital for their gracious care and compassion given to Eileen.
