Elaine B. Thorton Wettstein

Elaine B. Hirsig Thorton Wettstein, age 79 of Fond du Lac , died March 23, 2004 at Manorcare HealthServices. She was born September 12,1924 in Fond du Lac the daughter of Edwin and Leonora Meyer Hirsig. Elaine married Glen Thornton on March 2,1944 and he preceded her in death. She later married Henry Wettstein on May 11,1991 and he preceded her in death. Elaine retired from Wisconsin Telephone in 1975 after 32 years of service. She was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Town of Forest and was a member of the Eagles Auxillary No. 270 and Telephone Pioneers of America. Elaine enjoyed dancing traveling especially to Alaska and Hawaii and was an avid reader.SURVIVORS: one sister, Phyllis Kimpel, Wautoma, three nieces, Linda (Jonathon) Hahn, Caledonia, Minnesota, Nancy (Robert) Ring, Fond du Lac, Susan (Michael) Immel, Fond du Lac. She was preceded her in death by her parents and both parents.



VISITATION: Friday, March 26, 2004 from 3-5 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Friday, March 26, 2004 at 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Reverend Mark Barenz officiating. Burial will be at Ledgeview Memorial Park.
