Elaine E. Thurk

Elaine E. Thurk, 85, of 126 E. Johnson St., Fond du Lac, died on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.Elaine was born on Oct. 9, 1924, to Dennis and Helen Dunn.On Jan. 29, 1944, she married Howard Thurk. He preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 1985.Elaine is survived by one son, Steven (Shirley) Thurk of Fond du Lac; two daughters: Kathleen A. Bauer (friend, Jack) and Judy Thurk, all of Fond du Lac; nine grandchildren: Patty Tiry, Lynn Bauer, John Bauer Jr., Joe Bauer, Julie Pelch, Jodie Behlke, Todd Thurk, Dan Lehner and Nikki Schwandt; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Margaret Collver of Fond du Lac.She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; and four sisters.



At Elaine's request, there will be no formal visitation or services.Elaine has been laid to rest at Ledgeview Memorial Cemetery.
