Elaine M. Schry

Elaine M. Schry, 85, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at her home in Fond du Lac. She was born on July 25, 1931 in North Fond du Lac, a daughter of Joseph and Clara (Polus) Lang. On February 18, 1950, Elaine married Sylvester “Cy” Schry at Presentation Church in North Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on January 23, 1986.



Elaine worked at both Red Owl and PDQ. She loved doing word searches and crocheting; even making an afghan for each of her grandchildren! Elaine loved all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.



Survivors include her daughter, Judy (Wayne) Wilke; a daughter-in-law, Jolene Schry; 2 sons, Dave (Sue) and Tom (Amy); 7 grandchildren, Brad (Heather) Wilke, Joel (Sarah) Wilke, Heather Schry, Martha Schry (fiancé Sean Lorbecki), Brock, Macrina and Maverick Schry; and 4 great-grandchildren, Lauren and Cameron Wilke, and Jaxson and Holden Wilke. Elaine is further survived by a brother, Robert (Barb) Lang, and a sister, Jane (Art) Lyness. In addition to her husband, Cy, she was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Clara Lang; a son, Richard; 2 brothers, Jerry Lang and Art Lang; 3 sisters, Ginny Mielke, Marion Seresse and Janet Smit; 2 brothers-in-law, John Mielke and Punk Seresse; and 3 sisters-in-law, Buleah Lang, Anita Lang and Helen Lang.



Visitation for Elaine will be held from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Monday, January 9, 2017 at Sacred Heart Church, 200 S. Peters Ave. in Fond du Lac. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM. Entombment in Chapel of The Risen Christ Mausoleum – Calvary Cemetery will follow.
