Elaine R. Hamberger, 76, of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Friday, April 20, 2012. She was born November 4, 1935, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Melvin and Lena DeGraff Broadway. On November 13, 1961, she married Kenneth D. Hamberger in Chicago. He preceded her in death on June 22, 1991. Mrs. Hamberger was a member of the Church of Peace. She was employed by Associated Psychiatric Consultants for over 20 years as a medical transcriptionist, retiring in 1996. Elaine was a veteran of the US Army serving in Heidelberg, Germany during the Korean War. She loved jig saw puzzles and was a member of Eagles Aerie #270 Auxiliary. Surviving is a daughter, Kim (Greg Navulis) Zills of Markesan, two sons, K. David Hamberger of Green Bay, and Greg Hamberger of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, two granddaughters, Brooke Navulis and Sami Jo Hamberger, and a sister, Linda (Jerry) Johnson of Princeton. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three sisters, Helen (Alfred) Smith, Karen Peters, and Kathleen Broadway. Visitation for Elaine R. Hamberger will be on Sunday, April 22, 2012, from 4 to 7 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Monday, April 23, 2012, at 9:45 AM at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
