Elden W. Kramer

Elden W. Kramer, 93, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac. He was born June 22, 1916 in Basswood, IL, the son of Rev. William P. and Ella M. Jeske Kramer. Elden entered the U.S. Army in 1941 and served in the China-Burma-India theater of operations in various military intelligence assignments. On April 20, 1974 he married Constance L. Beyer Stephany in Dodge County. He retired in 1982 from Alliant Energy. Elden was a past member of the Masons and American Legion. Elden and Constance enjoyed traveling to Elderhostels in their customized yellow van. He enjoyed gardening, raising apples, computers, collecting music; especially spiritual and barbershop, was an avid crossword puzzle solver, and loved spending time with family and his grandchildren.SURVIVORS: his wife, Constance; one son, Stephen (Elizabethe) Kramer, Athens, OH; one step daughter, Toni (Tom) Schell, Sparta, WI; two step sons, John (Deb) Stephany, Oshkosh, WI, Jim Stephany, Sydney, Australia; two grandchildren, Davis Ann and Stephen Kramer; eight step grandchildren, Elizabeth (Sean) Severson, Benjamin (Lisa) Schell, Robert (Lisa) Schell, Chris (Nikki) Stephany, Kim Stephany, April (Evan) Gidlof, Matt Blance-Stephany, Robbie Blance-Stephany; seven step great grandchildren; one sister, Lorraine More, Lomira, WI; one brother, Dale (Ellen) Kramer, Hudson, WI; special friend, Ken Bakke; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter-in-law, Kay Blance-Stephany; three sisters; three brothers.



VISITATION: will be from 10 AM "“ 12 Noon on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Tony Farina officiating. Cremation will follow the traditional services with inurnment in Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
