Eleanor F. Streeter, 88, formerly of N3747 Mitchell Road, Town of Osceola, and currently a resident of Grancare Nursing Center, died Tuesday. September 1, 2009, due to complications of congestive heart failure. She was born August 20, 1921, in Green Lake County, the daughter of John and Rose A. Siekierka Novak. On September 9, 1935, she married Charles E. Streeter in Crown Point, IN. He preceded her in death on May 24, 1977. Eleanor was formerly employed by Fred Rueping Leather Company of Fond du Lac, and later worked for R.R. Donnelly Company of Chicago. She and her husband later raised beef cattle in the southwestern part of Wisconsin. During her time in Fond du Lac, she was an established bowler. Her accomplishments included 1947 Women's Bowling Association All-Events Champion, 1956 Co-Bowler of the Year, and 1957 Bowler of the Year. She was a frequent member of the All City 5. Surviving is a son, Charles H. Streeter of North Fond du Lac, and a daughter, Nancy A. (Robert) Beresford of Fond du Lac, nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. Her parents, husband, and two brothers, Norbert and Sylvester Novak, preceded her in death.
Visitation for Mrs. Eleanor F. Streeter will be on Thursday, September 3, 2009, from 4 to 7 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word for Christian Burial services will be on Friday, September 4, 2009, at 10 am the funeral home.
