Eleanor M. Pflum, age 91, a resident of the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home for the past seven years, died Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the Hospice Home of Hope. She was born on December 15, 1919 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of James and Martha (Dickson) Miller. On March 16, 1936 she married Joseph W. Pflum in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on August 25, 2003. Eleanor worked in food service at St. Agnes Hospital for thirty years, retiring in 1979. She was a member of Holy Family Parish. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and blanketing. SURVIVORS: five children, Barbara Damrau-Pflum of Fond du Lac, Robert (Lois) Pflum of Fond du Lac, Joseph Jr. (Christina) Pflum of Fond du Lac, Catherine Guell of Fond du Lac, August (Marla) Pflum of Packwaukee, thirteen grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, of Fond du Lac, Lola Shady of Waupun, Virginia (Wally) Reimer of Fond du Lac, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph, two sons in law, David Guell and Richard Damrau, one grandson, Peter Pflum, six brothers, one sister, and two infant sisters.
VISITATION: Wednesday, February 23, 2011 from 4-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Deacon Larry Hughes officiating. Cremation will follow the traditional services.
