ELFRIEDA E. STEFFESElfrieda E. Steffes, 86 of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Manorcare Health Services.She was born July 17, 1924 in the Town of Calumet the daughter of Clem and Rose Karls Stenz. On July 14, 1943 she married Elmer J. Steffes at St. John The Baptist Church, Johnsburg. Elmer preceded her in death on September 11, 2003. Elfrieda was a member of St. John The BaptistChurch, Johnsburg. She helped her husband on the family farm. She enjoyed playing sheepsheadembroidery, jigsaw puzzles and hickory nut picking. Most recently Elfrieda was a resident of the Woodland's Senior Park.SURVIVOR: Elfrieda is survived by her five children; Ronald (Carol) Steffes, St. Peter, Rose Ann (Peter) Wallin, North Fond du Lac, Joseph (Joanne) Steffes, Johnsburg, Gerald (Linda) Steffes, Fonddu Lac, Robert (Jean) Steffes, Johnsburg, 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by eight brothers and sisters; Rosebell Fryda, Fond du Lac, Sylvester (Pat) Stenz, Fond du Lac,Erwin (Alice) Stenz, Pipe, Virginia Bertram, Johnsburg, Melvin (Norma) Stenz, Plymouth, Leander(Grace) Stenz, Taycheedah, Anita (David) Jones, Fond du Lac, Mary Jane (Bill) Murray, West Bend, and one sister-in-law, Joanne Stenz, Pipe. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son, James,one brother Norman Stenz, sister-in-laws; Dorothy Steffes and Elfrieda (Jerome) Olig.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 from 3 to 6 PM at St. John The Baptist Church, Johnsburg. FUNERAL: A Mass of Christian Burial Will Be Celebrated at 6:00 at the church withReverend's Joseph Coerber and Walter Orzechowski officiating. Burial will be in the spring at the parishCemetery."Special thanks to the staff at Woodland's, ManorCare and St. Agnes Hospital for their care and compassion while our mother was in their care."
