Elizabeth “Betty” E. Trepanier, age 87, of Fond du Lac, got her wish and was called to eternal life to be reunited with her dance partner and husband of sixty-two years, Doug and her “angel” daughter Beth Ann. She passed peacefully on Monday, September 19, 2016, at Harbor Haven Health and Rehabilitation Center with her thankful sons Mike (Carol), Mark (Patty), both of Fond du Lac, and Gary (Connie) of Mequon at her side.
Betty was born to the late Theresa C. (Schmitz) and Hubert J. Abhold on June 12, 1929 in the Village of Dotyville and was a graduate of St. Mary’s Springs Academy and a lifelong resident of Fond du Lac. She was an energetic and hardworking housewife who was dedicated to the Lord and her family. She loved maintaining her yard, being on a golf course, bowling, snowmobiling, or relaxing with a late night bike ride or walk to enjoy God’s creations. She was an avid Badger, Brewers, Bucks, and Packer fan, seldom missing a game in her later years.
She is survived by six grandchildren, Stephanie (Kevin) Fessler, Suzanne (Nick) Christian, Sara Trepanier, Colleen (Ben Blanck) Trepanier, Mary (Derek) Tennessen, and Zach (Kayla) Trepanier; six great-grandchildren, Vincent, Miles, Eleanor, John, Max, and Mya; as well as one brother-in-law, Duane Moquin. The family would also like to thank special friends, the Brook and Joe Hinrichs family for their continued thoughtfulness and support. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Doug, her daughter, Beth Ann; Betty was also preceded in death by four sisters, Dorothy (Robert) Kelley, Mary (Herbert) Jaeger, Anita Moquin, Rita Abhold; one brother, Robert (Coletta) Abhold; and one great-granddaughter, Caroline.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Holy Family Church-Holy Family Parish, 271 4th St. Way, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. Interment will follow the service at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery. A celebration of life will follow for friends and family at Red Cabin Inn, Dotyville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hinrichs Adult Family Home, 549 T Bird Drive, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935.
