Elizabeth C. Moses

Elisabeth C. Moses, 96, of Neenah and formerly of Fond du Lac, died peacefully on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the Valley VNA with family members at her side. She was born November 5, 1914 in Oshkosh, the daughter of Matthew and Lena Macho Kalous. On June 4, 1935 she married George H. Moses and he preceded her in death in 1981. Elizabeth was a member of St. Patrick's Church since 1935, Daughters of Isabella, Altar and Rosary Society, Wheel of Prayer, and volunteered extensively with school and parish functions. Elizabeth also volunteered as a gray lady at St. Agnes Hospital for years and worked at the election polls for 28 years. She cared for her mother-in-law for 33 years in her home while raising her family. She enjoyed league bowling, ceramics and beautiful music. Elizabeth had an infectious laugh, was an excellent cook of American, German and Lebanese cuisine, loved babies and small children, and had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother.SURVIVORS: her children, Mary Kathryn (Don) Turner, Neenah, Thomas E. Moses, Edina, MN, Robert Moses, Fond du Lac; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her infant daughter, Ann Marie; her daughter, Sr. Ann Therese "Betty" Moses; her sisters, Mary, Josephine and Agnes; her brothers, John and Lawrence; and her daughter-in-law, Patricia Moses.



VISITATION: will be from 10 "“ 11 AM on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Holy Family Parish, St. Mary's Church, 93 Marquette Street, and Fond du Lac. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Holy Family Parish, St. Mary's Church, 93 Marquette Street, and Fond du Lac. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the entire staff of the Valley VNA Assisted Living where Elizabeth resided, the Theda Care Hospice team, and Dr. Curt Baltz for their outstanding and compassionate care, respect, and commitment, and to St. Margaret Mary Parish for embracing Elizabeth as one of their own during her time in Neenah. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Valley VNA Senior Services, Neenah in Elizabeth's name.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
