Elizabeth F. " Betz" Masarik

Elizabeth "Betz" F. Masarik, age 91 formerly of 285 South Seymour Street, and a resident of Fond du Lac Lutheran Home for the past 3 years died Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at the home. She was born on August 19, 1915 in Taycheedah the daughter of Louis and Louise Dame Steffes. On December 16, 1936she married Stephen M. Masarik at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on February 9, 2005. Elizabeth was a charter member of Sacred Heart Church (Holy Family). She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, mystery novels, home crafts, loved going on rides through the countryside and especially rides through Lakeside Park.Elizabeth lived at her South Seymour Street address for 50 years.Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth Hanke, Lombard, IL, and seven sons, Thomas Masarik, Glendale, IL, James Masarik, Fond du Lac, David (Karen) Masarik, Wisconsin Dells, Dennis (Sue) Masarik, Downers Grove, IL, Michael (Patty) Masarik, Roanoke, VA, twin sons, Jerome and Joseph Masarik, both of Fond du Lac, twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a son-in-law, Ken Gerner, Oshkosh. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Patricia Gerner, two grandsons, Christopher and Justin Masarik, four brothers and three sisters.



The family will receive friends on Monday, July 9, 2007 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 9, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Reverend Camelo Giuffre officiating. Cremation has taken place.
