Elizabeth J. "Bette" Munson

Elizabeth “Bette” J. Munson, 89, died Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Woodlands Senior Park in Fond du Lac. She was born on February 19, 1926 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Joseph and Lovisa (MacArthur) Drolshagen. On June 15, 1946, she married Harold C. Munson at First Presbyterian Church in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on March 20, 2006. Over the years, Bette and Harold enjoyed many activities together, including bowling, playing cards, going to the casinos and volunteering with the Noon Optimists. Bette was an avid reader and loved to travel, including many trips with other Fire Chiefs and their spouses. Her favorite times were those spent at the family cottage in Manitowish Waters. She was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church,



Surviving are her two children, daughter, Sandra (Larry) Johnson, and son, Lee (Phyllis) Munson; five grandchildren, Debbie (Mike) Gillard, Julie (Mark) Blaha, Lori (Brandt) Maurer, Brian (Jennifer) Munson, Michele (Ryan) Koplin; thirteen great-grandchildren, Nathan, Mathilda and Lucy, Max, Porter and Roman, Elsa and Owen, Samantha and Macie, Katie, Olivia and Grace. She is further survived by a brother-in-law, Donald Munson, a sister-in-law, Jean Munson and many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother, Earl Droeshagen, a sister-in-law, Janet Munson and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Munson.



Visitation for Bette will be held Monday, June 22, 2015 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jack Harrison of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park.



The family wishes to thank Pastor Jack Harrison for all his visits and prayers. Also, a special thank you to all the Hospice nurses and the staff of the Woodlands who gave caring and compassionate care to Bette and her family during this difficult time.



The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Agnesian Hospice Hope in memory of Elizabeth.
