Elizabeth J. “Liz” Spang, age 92, of 284 Amory St, Fond du Lac, died Monday, July 25, 2016 at her residence. She was born on May 18, 1924 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of George and Clara Holzman. On November 29, 1947 she married Ralph Spang at St. Mary’s Church in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on December 5, 1997. She was a lifelong member of Eagles Aerie #270.
Survivors include one daughter, Bubba Sue Spang of Fond du Lac; three grandchildren, Brian (Rebecca) Immel and their daughters Taryn and Alanna of Fond du Lac, Shara (Christopher) Byas and their children Christopher Jr, Kristina, Dennis, Makya, Sydney, Sequoyah, Zariah, Raeyah of Milwaukee, Selina (Bryan Schabel) Cadogan and their children Mason, Brianna, Trent, Jadyn of Fond du Lac; one great-great-grandchild, Silas of Milwaukee; two sisters, Lorraine Roesler and Judy Warner; special nephew, Lyle (Dianne) Halfman of Adams and their son Mark (Mary) Halfman; special nephew, Steve (Rhonda) Holzman. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Ralph, daughter Sharon Brendl, one grandson Scottie Immel, two sisters Marian Halfman and Evelyn Kern, one brother Richard Holzman.
The family would like to extend an overwhelming thanks to extended family, friends, caretakers, and anyone who took part in making her life as fulfilling as it could be.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at the American Legion, 500 Fond du Lac Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935 from 1:00 P.M-3:00 P.M.
