Elizabeth J. Roughen

Elizabeth J. Roughen, 84 formerly of 381 Boyd Street, and a resident of Sun Prairie since August 2006 died Monday, March 12, 2007 at Hospice Care Incorporated, Madison. She was born in Fond du Lac on October 12, 1922 the daughter of Howard and Grace Harry Jeffords. On July 12,1944 she married Robert E. Roughen in Fond du Lac. Robert preceded her in death on June 12, 2000. Elizabeth was a member of Holy Family-St. Patrick's Parish and the Fond du Lac Ladies of The Elks. She enjoyed golfing, playing cards, reading and bowling in the Lady Elks Bowling League.Survivors include three sons, David (Joan) Roughen, Sun Prairie, Douglas (Jane) Roughen, and Dennis Roughen, both of Madison, fourteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Further survived by a son-in-law, Ken Becker, Fond du Lac, and one sister June Cuse, Charlevoix, Michigan. She was preceded in death by parents, husband, a daughter, Paula Becker, June 28, 2003.



Visitation will be held Thursday, March 15, 2007 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Holy Family-Sacred Heart Church. Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 15, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Family- Sacred Heart Church with Reverend Dennis Budka officiating.
