Elmer E. Klebs, 84, a resident Deerview Meadows Assisted Living since April of 2007, died Sunday, August 3, 2008. He was born January 28, 1924 in Fond du Lac county, the son of August G. and Ida W. Pauls Klebs. On June 11, 1955 he married Betty J. Grainger at Division Street Methodist Church. Betty preceded him in death on January 28, 1996.Elmer was a life-long dairy farmer owning his own farm for five years and later working as a herdsman for Vigo Farms for over 40 years. He enjoyed playing bingo and playing cards. Elmer played in sheep's head tournaments in Lamartine.Survivors include his son Elmer A. Klebs, Bethesda, MD, one sister Elaine Miller, Fond du Lac, and one brother Eugene (Joan) Klebs, Rosendale. Elmer is further survived by sisters"“in-law and brothers-in-law, Sharon Grainger, Fond du Lac, Geraldine Haas, Florida, Beverly Brown, Milwaukee, Kenneth Grainger, OK, David Grainger, Virginia Beach, VA, and many nieces and nephews. Elmer's parents,wife, infant brother ,infant sister, two brothers, Edwin and Edmund, a sister Mildred Pollock, half -brothers, half- sisters, several family and friends have preceded him to eternal life.
VISITATION: Friends may call on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum.
