Elva V. Balthazor

September 8, 1915 — February 18, 2005

Mrs. Elva V. Balthazor, age 89, formerly of 152 E. Bank St., Fond du Lac, died Friday, February 18, 2005 at Villa Loretto Nursing Home, Mt. Calvary. She was born on September 8, 1915 in Sheboygan, the daughter of William and Eva Bobinas Peckis. On May 14, 1941 she married Alvin F. Balthazor at Immaculate Conception Church in Sheboygan. Mrs. Balthazor was a Registered Nurse graduating from St. Agnes School of Nursing in 1937. She did private duty nursing in Sheboygan, Fond du Lac, and Monroe. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, St. Patrick's Altar and Rosary Society, St. Agnes Alumnae, National Association of Letter Carriers, and a YMCA member for twenty-six years. She participated in playing racquetball, bowling, golfing, swimming, and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. SURVIVORS: She is survived by a daughter Mary V. Thompson of Fond du Lac, two grandchildren, Sean Thomas (Rhonda) Mates of Austin, TX, Molly Christine (Frank Jr.) Nelson of Fond du Lac, twin great grandchildren, Thane Thomas and Taylor Grace, two sisters, Adella Sinkewitz of Sheboygan, Delores Schneider of Sheboygan, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, Marie Fahres, Sally Parnitzke, Anton Peckis, Joseph Peckis, Veronica Skeris.



VISITATION: Monday, February 21, 2005 from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Holy Family Parish-St. Patrick's Church. FUNERAL: Monday, February 21, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Family Parish-St. Patrick's Church with the Reverend Dennis Budka and Deacon Larry Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials appreciated to the Villa Loretto Assisted Living Project.Elva knew no greater peace or love than that offered each day of her time spent at Villa Loretto. The family offers gratitude to the Sister Servants of Christ the King, and the wonderful nurses and staff. Their work is a blessing to all who enter. Their legacy is that of love. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
