Erwin E. Turnblom Erwin E. Turnblom, 80, of 409 Pearl Ln. Q102 was called to enjoy his eternal life with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 09, 2005 at his residence surrounded by his family. Erwin was born June 5, 1924 in West Sweden, WI, a son of Gunder and Vina Dinger Turnblom. On February 28, 1948 he married Arlyle Moon at Church of Peace in Fond du Lac. Erwin worked for both Land O' Lakes and Galloway West as a lab technician and butter maker for 43 years, retiring in 1986. Erwin was a veteran of the US Army, serving from 1944-1946 in the Asian Theater of World War II. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, serving as an usher, elder, and trustee for the parish as well as was a member of the Men's Club and the Good Samaritan Program at church. He was also a member of the American Legion Trier Puddy Post #75 and the firing squad, the VFW, the Noon Lions Club, was treasurer for the Low Vision for the Visually Impaired, and was named Outstanding Senior Citizen of the Year in 1997. He will be deeply missed by his family and those whom he inspired through his unmentioned good deeds and actions. Survivors include his wife; Arlyle of Fond du Lac, two daughters; Charlene Bille of Fond du Lac, Jane (Walter) Braford of Van Dyne, one granddaughter; Jennifer Braford of Van Dyne, one sister; Kathryn Vatthauser of Belle Plaine, MN, one brother; Robert Turnblom of Walnut Ridge, AR, one step-grandson; George (Amy) Braford of Fond du Lac, one step-granddaughter; Becke Braford of Columbus, WI, and four step-great grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.



Visitation for Mr. Turnblom will be held on Friday, February 11, 2005 from 4-8 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and on Saturday, February 12, 2005 from 9:30 until the time of services at Hope Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Hope Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Lieske officiating. Burial will follow at Estabrooks Cemetery with military honors being performed by Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hope Lutheran Church Elevator Fund or to Hospice Hope. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
