Esther C. Erdmann, 95, a resident of the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home for the past four years, died at her residence on Wednesday, July 1, 2009. She was born September 3, 1913, in the Town of Ashford, Fond du Lac County, the daughter of John and Helena Schwartz Weigand. On April 10, 1932, she married Kermit A. Erdmann in Kentucky. He preceded her in death on February 15, 1985. Mrs. Erdmann was a lifelong resident of Fond du Lac County who enjoyed sewing, embroidery, and cooking. She was a member of Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church. Surviving are two daughters, Eunice (Leo) Wondrash of Brownsville, and Karen Moore of Madison, five grandchildren, Ann Herbst of Van Dyne and Nicole (Keith) Searfoss of Pomona, CA, Kevin (Kathy) Wondrash, and Kyle (Gloria) Wondrash, all of Fond du Lac, and Russell (Jenny) Moore of Redmond, WA, and five great-grandchildren, Stephanie and Alexandria Wondrash, Cody and Kelly Wondrash, and Zoe Moore. A sister, Janet Carter of Cincinnati, OH, further survives her. Her parents, husband, an infant son, and a grandson, Keith Wondrash, preceded her in death.
Visitation for Mrs. Esther C. Erdmann will be on Monday, July 6, 2009, from 9 to 11 am at Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church, 855 Martin Avenue, Fond du Lac. Funeral services will be at 11 am on Monday at the church. The Rev. Stuart Zak will officiate and entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
