Esther E. Hassman

March 22, 1918 — December 27, 2012

Esther E. Hassman, 94 formerly of Grand Court Apartments, died Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. She was born on March 22, 1918 in Ripon the daughter of Fredrick and Elsie Zarrnott Wittwer. On September 26, 1942 she married Adolph "Wayne" Hassman in Pasadena, California. Adolph preceded her in death on September 21, 1968. Esther worked at Infant Socks, Sears and Woodworth Junior High School as a cook. She was a life-long member of the Church of Peace, U.C.C. and was a member of the Ladies Aid where she served as a co-president at one time. Never having children of her own, Esther treasured the time spent with children in the Foster Grandparents program.SURVIVORS: Esther is survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother Elmer (Goldie) Wittwer.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Monday, December 31, 2012 from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held Monday, December 31, 2012 at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Reverend Jennifer C.M. Dawson officiating. Burial will follow at Estabrooks Cemetery.Memorials appreciated to the Foster Grandparents Program.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
