Esther E. (Benzel) TigheEsther E.(Benzel) Tighe, 81, of W8453 Priepke Road, Eldorado, died Monday, November 08, 2004, at St. Francis Home, where she had been a resident since July of this year. She was born June 9, 1923, in Knowles, WI, a daughter of Arthur and Anna Wallner Benzel. On May 23, 1942, she married S. "Pat" Tighe at St. Patrick's Church. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2000. Mrs. Tighe was a member of Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church. She was an avid Packers, Badgers, and Brewers fan. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.Surviving are four children; Ardis (Don) Peer of Rhinelander, Ruth Ann (Sam) Thuerwachter, Sr. of Fond du Lac, Mike (Mary) Tighe of Fond du Lac, and Pat (Shelley) Tighe of Brownsville, nine grandchildren, Sam (Carrie) Thuerwachter, Jr., Dan Thuerwachter and Fiancé Heidi Hynek, Lisa (Ray) Labatte, Amy (Rob) Luedtke, Jenny (Chris) Schrage, and Kevin, Kelly ,Katie, and Emily Tighe, eight great-grandchildren, Emily, Grace, Caleb, Isaac, Parker, Owen, Mitchell, and Nathan, and nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, twin daughters, Margaret and Marie, a grandson, Robert Thuerwachter, two brothers, Arthur and Edward Benzel, three sisters, Viola Kuen, Ruth Bender, and Lorraine Genz.
Visitation for Mrs. Esther Emma Tighe will be on Thursday, November 11, 2004, from 12 noon to 2 pm at Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be on Thursday, November 11, 2004, at 2 pm at Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Douglas Hedman will officiate and burial will follow at Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be directed to Big Brothers/Big Sisters or the Salvation Army.
