Ethel J. Stinemates, 95, of Fond du Lac, died Monday, October 10, 2016 at Adelaide Place in Fond du Lac. She was born February 10, 1921 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Matthew and Rose Schussler Schibline. On August 26, 1944 she married Bruce I. Stinemates at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fond du Lac, and he preceded her in death on February 19, 1971. Ethel cooked at Presentation School in North Fond du Lac for many years and retired in 2002 from cooking at the Blandine House in Fond du Lac. She was a former member of Presentation Parish in North Fond du Lac and currently a member of Holy Family Parish. She enjoyed painting ceramics, crocheting, knitting, cooking, camping, bowling, AVON, and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by four sons, Joseph (Christine) Stinemates of Campbellsport, Robert Stinemates, Terry (Pat) Stinemates, and Michael (Chris) Stinemates, all of Fond du Lac; ten grandchildren, Bruce (Sarah) Stinemates, Angie (Tim) Garriety, Matthew (Regina Bothe) Stinemates, Ryan Stinemates, Rena Christie, Kevin (Amber) Stinemates, Keith Stinemates, Kristy (Joe) Hoepfner, Staci (David) Polishinski, and Kevin (Carrie) Hiesler; 23 great grandchildren; three brothers, Joseph Schibline, Jack (Carma) Schibline, and Mike Schibline, all of Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bruce; two brothers, Edward (Betty) Schibline and Donald Schibline; one sister, Doris (Oliver) Bragg; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Schibline and Kolleen Schibline.
The visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to the Blandine House in Ethel’s name.
