ETHEL V. HENKEREthel V. Henker, 102, formerly of 283 Doty Street, Fond du Lac, died peacefully at St. Francis Home on Sunday, July 31,2005 where she had been a resident since February 2000. She was born in Fond du Lac on March 31,1903 to Herman and Josephine Pratt Henker. Ethel was employed at Wisconsin Power and Light during her entire working career. Miss Henker was a life-long member of St. Patrick's (Holy Family), a member of the Altar & Rosary Society and a member of its adult choir. Her faith was very important to her. Singing with the choir, playing piano, gardening, oil painting, and watching Lawrence Welk and the Green Bay Packers were some of her favorite pastimes in her earlier years. She also enjoyed many types of handwork knitting, etc. Ethel was a member of the Past and Present Club of Wisconsin Power & Light.She is survived by her special sister-in-law, Helen Henker, Fond du Lac, cousins and friends. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Sylvester Henker.



A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis Nursing Home Chapel on Thursday, August 4,2005 at 10:45 A.M. with Reverend Walter Orzechowski officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 4,2005 from 9:45 A.M. at the St. Francis Nursing Home Chapel until the time of services.Memorials may be made in Ethel's name to the Staff Appreciation Fund at St. Francis Nursing Home or Masses in her memory."Special thanks to the staff at St. Francis Home for their wonderful care."UECKER-WITT FUNERAL HOME IS SERVING THE FAMILY.
