Eugene A. "Heinie" Thill Eugene A. "Heinie" Thill, 77, of 295 Superior Street, died Thursday, August 11, 2011, at his residence. He was born February 12, 1934, in Oakfield, the son of Harvey and Edna Noll Thill. On June 16, 1978, he married Barbara Koenigs in Fond du Lac at Church of Our Saviour Evangelical Lutheran. Heinie was formerly employed by Wendels Masonary and Capelle Brothers & Diedrich Inc. as a mason. He was a member of the Laborers International Union of North America for 52 years. He enjoyed softball, golfing, and bowling, of which he was a member of the 700 club. Eugene enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers, and the Badgers, and liked going to the casinos. Surviving is his wife, Barbara, his blended family of seven children, Renee (Darrin) Galle of Fond du Lac, Patti (David) DeWitt of Fond du Lac, Pamela (Greg) Morrow of Cedarburg, and Susan (Jeff) Wenzler of Fort Atkinson, three sons, Mitchell Thill of Fond du Lac,Gary (Tracy) Thill of Fond du Lac, and Todd (Tabatha) Gundrum of Cross Plains, WI, 13 grandchildren, Heather (Jason) Rathman, Jolinn Thill, Daniell Thill, Joel and Aaron DeWitt, Anna, Rayce, and Riley Morrow, Paige and Jordan Gundrum, Donovan, Trevor, and Alexandria Wojtasiak, and a great-grandson, Ayden Rathman. He is further survived by two sisters, Judy (Ray) Ballwanz of Oshkosh, and Dorothy Franke of Oakfield, three sisters-in-law, Onamae Thill of Florida, Lorraine Thill of Campbellsport, and Mary Jane Thill of Oakfield, his former wife, Nancy Waala of North Fond du Lac, and former daughter-in-law, Lindee Kimball of Fond du Lac, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, William, Robert, Raymond, and Larry, and two sisters, Ruth Rausch and Rosie Pixley.
Visitation for Eugene A. "Heinie" Thill will be on Sunday, August 14, 2011, from 3 to 7 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and again from 10 to 11 AM on Monday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be on Monday, August 15th at 11 AM at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the services. Committal of cremated remains will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
