Eugene A. Tebo, age 74 formerly of 653 West Arndt Street, died Wednesday, December 14,2005 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home where he had been a resident for the past two years. He was born on May 16,1931 in Menominee, Michigan the son of William F. and Emma Moritz Tebo. In 1954 he married Carolyn Johnson in Shiocton,WI. Carolyn preceded him in death in 1979. Eugene was a musician with the Roger Bright & His Orchestra Polka Band and the Lawrence Duckow Red Ravens retiring in1994. He was a member of the Wisconsin Polka Hall of Fame and in November of this year became a member of the Cleveland, Ohio Polka Hall of Fame. Eugene enjoyed music and traveling with the band.Survivors include three children, Linda Johnson, Madison, Gene (Janice) Tebo, Oshkosh, Laura (Donnell) McCalop, Slidell, Louisiana, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two brothers, Bill (Edna) Tebo, Carney, Michigan, Cliff (Barb) Tebo, Marinette, WI, two sisters, Eve Halle, Shiocton, and Nancy Zalenka, Appleton. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, two infant brothers, an infant sister, two brothers, James and Robert.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 17,2005 from 12:00 Noon to 1:30 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Memorial services will take place at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, December 17,2005 at the funeral home with Reverend Dean Desilet officiating. Cremation will take place with inurnment at Estabrooks Cemetery.In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
