Evelyn C. (Pickart) SchneiderEvelyn C. Schneider, 85, of N7699 Peebles Lane, Town of Taycheedah, died Tuesday, October 31, 2006, at her home. After a short illness at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee, she was welcomed home by all of her children and numerous other family members. Evie was born October 2, 1921, in Mount Calvary, the daughter of Anthony and Viola Blanck Pickart. On May 19, 1941, she married Norbert C. Schneider at Holy Cross Church in Mount Calvary. He preceded her in death on February 16, 2002. Together had 13 children, seven sons and six daughters. Mrs. Schneider was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Peter Church, the Christian Mothers, Daughters of Isabella, the Altar and Rosary Society, and was a charter member of Abler-Engel American Legion Post #454 Auxiliary. She was formerly employed by Miles Kimball of Oshkosh, Best Roller of Fond du Lac, was postmaster of Peebles from 1967 to 1974, and was a beautician at Elaine's, Hills and the Fond du Lac Healthcare Center. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed watching and feeding her wild birds.Evelyn is survived by five sons and five daughters; Ron (Mary) Schneider of Brothertown, Jackie (Paul) Deanovich of Fond du Lac, Jan (Ken) Nett of Charlesburg, Mutzi Carter of Malone, Russ (Jeanne) Schneider of Mount Calvary, Roque (Fiancé Vicky Karch) Schneider of Little Chute, Rory (Fiance' Reine Kloetzke) Schneider of Fond du Lac, Julie (Wilbert) Sparks of Campbellsport, Joelene (Special Friend Bill Woolery) Broennimann of Fond du Lac, Rodger (Jean) Schneider of Lamartine, a daughter-in-law, Martha Schneider of Taycheedah, and a son-in-law, Gerald Nett, of Stockbridge. She is further survived by 40 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Clifford (Elsie) Pickart of Fond du Lac, and Jerome (Special Friend Kate Weber) Pickart of Mount Calvary, five sisters-in-law; Olive Richter, Martha Laudolf, Frances Stubbe, Mary (Lee) White, and Pat (Bob) Pittler, all of Fond du Lac, eight brothers-in-law; John (Marion) Schneider, Eddie (Marie) Schneider, Tony Schneider, Jim Schneider, Don Blaylock all of Fond du Lac, Victor (Mary Lou) Schneider, and Leo (Carol) Schneider of Town of Taycheedah, and Alois (Betty) Schneider of Fond du Lac. Also surviving is a special aunt, Verna Buechel, of Mount Calvary. Her parents, husband, two sons, Randy and Rick, one daughter, Joy Nett, two sisters, Florence Warner and Joan Blaylock, and two brothers, Joe and Laverne "Pinky" Pickart, a granddaughter, Angelique Schneider, one great-grandson, Michael Nett, four sisters-in-law, and three brothers-in-law preceded her in death.
Visitation for Mrs. Evelyn Schneider will be on Friday, November 3, 2006, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and on Saturday, November 4, 2006, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at St. Peter Catholic Church. A vigil service will be held at 4 pm on Friday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday at the church. The Rev. Dennis Budka will officiate and burial will be in Holy Cross Church Cemetery, Mount Calvary. A memorial has been established in Mrs. Schneider's name.
