Evelyn I. Abler

Evelyn I. Abler, 76 of Fond du Lac, died Friday, March 14, 2014 at St. Agnes Hospital following complications due to lung surgery. She was born in St. Peter on April 14, 1937 the daughter of Anton and Rose Diederichs Freund. On November 11, 1956 she married Nicholas L. Abler at St. Patrick's Church in Fond du Lac. Evelyn attended St. Peter's Parochial School in St. Peter. She was employed with Infant Socks, Miles Kimball and worked as a machinist for R. B. Royal (Royal Brass) for over 30 years. She was a very nurturing person and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Evelyn enjoyed spending time with her lady friends.SURVIVORS: Evelyn is survived by two daughters, Debra (Kris) Larsen, St. Francisville, LA and Sandy (Rich) Ryan, Eldorado, one grandson Christopher (Angie) Ryan, Fond du Lac and two great-granddaughters Laurel and Morgan Ryan, Fond du Lac. She is further survived by three brothers, Alfred Freund, Fond du Lac, Ralph Freund, Chilton, Ambrose (JoAnn) Freund, Mary town, four sisters, Rita (Ron) Goeden, Ripon, Rosie (Mike) Briesemeister, South Milwaukee, JoAnn (Dale) Hochstein, Kathleen Freund both of Fond du Lac, one brother-in-law Alois (Ruth) Abler, Cincinnati, OH and one sister-in-law Shirley Abler, Fond du Lac, many nieces, nephews and her grandson Nick's girlfriend Kadie Meyer, Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a grandson Nicholas Ryan, two brothers, Ernest and John, three sisters, Marie Konen, Lillian Freund and Alice Rickert, two sister-in-laws, Betty and Agnes Freund, three brother-in-laws, Eugene Konen ,John Rait and George Abler.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 3 to 7 PM at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 7:00 PM at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Reverend Edward Sippel officiating.
