Evelyn M. Smith

Evelyn M. Smith, 91, of Fond du Lac, died Friday, November 17, 2017 at Woodlands Senior Park. She was born April 7, 1926 in North Fond du Lac, the daughter of Bert and Edna Marie Stearns Bestor. Evelyn graduated from Goodrich High School. On November 16, 1946 she married Wilbur V. Smith at Division Street Methodist Church in Fond du Lac. Evelyn lived in Franklin Park, IL and Neenah, WI before returning to Fond du Lac. She enjoyed volunteering and was a Pink Lady at ThedaClark Hospital in Neenah. Evelyn was a life long sports fan. She also liked playing cards and games with her friends and family and later enjoyed activities at the Woodlands Senior Park especially playing Bingo.



Evelyn will be dearly missed by her entire family; her two daughters, Linda (Rich) Christensen of Estero, FL and Patti (Turner) Reaney of Turtle Lake; two grandchildren, Karen (Jon) Vasconcellos and Steve (Lindsey) Bass; four great grandchildren, Julia and Krista Vasconcellos and Abby and Callie Bass; two brothers, Jack Bestor and Don (Marian) Bestor; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 67 years, Wilbur; her son, Thomas; and twelve siblings.



The visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Rienzi Cemetery.
