F. Joseph "Joe" Mclaughlin

. Joseph "Joe" McLaughlin, Jr., age 57, of N6576 Center Road, Rosendale, died at home Tuesday, December 1, 2009 after a long battle with cancer. He was born on May 28, 1952 in Lewiston, Maine, the son of Francis J., Sr and Mary Dunn McLaughlin. On June 21, 1975 he married Marcia R.Harris in Arundel, Maine. He was a graduate of the University of Maine at Orono. He served as Deputy Chief Firefighter and EMT for a number of years while living in Deering, New Hampshire. Joe was currently employed by J.& H. Controls as a Master electrician. He was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church and had gone on a number of missions to the Haiti Lazarus Project. Joe enjoyed for several years being a Civil War Re-enactor as part of the Wisconsin Iron Brigade. He also enjoyed hobby farming, history, cooking, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. SURVIVORS: his wife of 34 years, Marcia; three children, Sara (Ted) Grant, Ripon, Liam (Sherry) McLaughlin, Forest Grove, OR, Brianna McLaughlin, Rosendale; two grandchildren, Caledonia and Nessa Grant. He is further survived by his mother, Mary McLaughlin, Manchester, NH; six siblings, Sheila (Alan) Window, Manchester, NH, Dennis (Stacie) McLaughlin, Barrington, RI, Patrick (Dianne) McLaughlin, Pembroke, NH, Janet (James) Bernier, Manchester,NH , Laura (Douglas) Dickson, Austin, TX, Sean (Cynthia) McLaughlin, Haverhill, MA; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Carol.



VISITATION: the family will receive friends from 6 "“ 8 PM on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 901 Cty. V, Fond du Lac and again on Friday from 10 "“ 11 AM at church. The memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, December 4, 2009 at Ascension Lutheran Church with Rev. Jeff Blain officiating.
