Fern E. Bloohm

Fern E. Bloohm , age 85 of Brownsville, formerly of Fond du Lac and Beaver Dam died peacefully at the Hospice Home of Hope on Wednesday, July 18, 2007. She was born in Fond du Lac on December 23, 1921 the daughter of Harry H. and Lorinda Lenk Griesmer. On September 30, 1944 she married Lawrence "Ozzie" Bloohm at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam. During the war years Fern worked in a shoe factory that made boots for the military. She was a member of Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church and was a member of the Elizabeth and Dorcas Circles at church. She was also a member of the Elks Auxilary, Fond du Lac Woman's Chorus, Soroptimist International of Fond du Lac and the Dodge County Extension Homemaker serving in various positions in these organizations.She is survived by two sons, Jeff Bloohm and Eric (Tari) Bloohm of Brownsville, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a brother, Harry Griesmer, New Berlin and a sister Charlotte Peterson, Madison. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Ozzie, two brothers, and one sister.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Monday, July 23, 2007 from 9:00 A. M. to 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church-Family Life Center, 20 Wisconsin American Drive. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held Monday, July 23, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel -Trinity Lutheran Church-Family Life Center, 20 Wisconsin American Drive. Reverend Douglas V. Hedman will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Brownsville.In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to Hospice Home of Hope.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
