Florence A. Meyer

Florence A. Meyer, 96, a resident of the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home went to her heavenly home on Saturday, March 30, 2013. She was born on April 1, 1916 in Milwaukee, WI and married Daniel F. Meyer on September 2, 1939. Her husband preceded her in death on October 9, 1996. Florence was a homemaker and worked side jobs cleaning local businesses and homes. When her husband retired, they worked together at the Action Advertiser. She enjoyed doing crafts, collecting salt and pepper shakers, playing bingo, and the penny slots at the casino. Her family will remember her for the cookouts at her house, her smile and the special birthday celebrations.She is survived by a son, Donald Meyer and his wife Helen of Greenville, Wisconsin; a daughter, Susan Flagstad of Fond du Lac; five grandchildren, Wesley Meyer and his wife Synona of Appleton; Wayne Meyer and his wife Amie of Ballentine, S.C.; Julie Dilling and her husband Gary of Fond du Lac; Brenda Schaefer and her husband, Todd of Fond du Lac; Rebecca Flagstad of Eden; and nine great grandchildren.



There will be a private service for family at Wisconsin Memorial Park Cemetery in Milwaukee on Thursday, April 4.Family wishes to thank the staff at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home and Hospice Hope for the compassionate care provided.
