Florence I Kempinger

Florence I. Kempinger, age 85 a resident of Heather Meadows, North Fond du Lac, died June 22, 2008 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. She was born in Poy Sippi on July 6, 1922 the daughter of Frank and Mary DuBoise Roberts. On December 23, 1942 she married Joseph Kempinger at St. John's Lutheran Church, Oshkosh. Joseph preceded her in death on May 16, 1968. Florence was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army as a cook and butcher, (Tech 5 ) from 1943-46. She enjoyed being with her family very much.SURVIVORS: one daughter, Mary Rose (Howard) Heller, Fond du Lac, one son, Michael (Shirley) Kempinger, Van Dyne, four grandchildren, Lori Ann (Dan) Bellmer, Joseph Kempinger, Adam Kempinger, Tracy Wills, two great-grandchildren, Mindy Sue Bellmer, Reif Wills, one great-great-grandchild, Adrian Bellmer. Her two sisters, Rose Nicolaisen, Oshkosh, Lydia Stein, Crandon, nieces and nephews further survive Florence. Her parents, husband, three brothers, Charles, Sam, and Eugene, a half-brother, Arthur Nelson, and two sisters, Jenny and Laura preceded her in death.



Cremation will take place. Private family inurnment services will be held at Wood National Veteran's Cemetery, Milwaukee.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
