Floyn J. "Curly" Magdefrau, 89, formerly of 341 Connell Street, died Saturday, August 19, 2006, at All About Life Rehabilitation Center where he had been a resident for the past 3 months. He was born December 23, 1916, in Fond du Lac, the son of John and Esther Averbeck Magdefrau. On January 5, 1931, he married Leone C. Olsen in Joliet, IL. She preceded him in death on July 30, 2005. Mr. Magdefrau was formerly employed by the Soo Line Railroad as an electrical engineer for over 40 years, retiring in 1978. Surviving are three children, Mark (Kathy) Magdefrau, Joan (Tim) McCoy, and Sue (Tony) Steinmetz, all of Fond du Lac, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. He is further survived by a sister, Bernice Crowley, of Houston, TX. His parents, wife, a son John, and a sister, Ariel Brugger, preceded him in death.
