Frances E. Schneider

Frances E. Schneider, age 83, died Saturday, August 21, 2010 at St. Francis Home, Fond du Lac where she has resided since 2008. Frances was born on June 16, 1927 in St. Cloud the daughter of Christ and Sophie (Gilles) Pickart. On May 30, 1949 she married Francis J. Schneider at St. Mary's Church in Marytown. He preceded her in death on August 1, 1980. They lived all their lives on Marr Street in Fond du Lac. She was a cook at St. Mary's School, PapaBears Restaurant, the Lutheran Home, and Tucker's. Frances was a member of Holy Family Parish and attended St. Joseph's Church. She was a member of the Women's Society, NAIM, and Widow & Widowers Group. Frances focused her life on her large family and many friends. She enjoyed cooking, baking bread, camping, square dancing, quilting, sheepshead, and playing games with her grandchildren.SURVIVORS: seven children, Gladys (David) Brown of Fond du Lac, Jean (Gary) Gerner of Fond du Lac, Ken (Deb) Schneider of Oshkosh, Joe (Deb) Schneider of Fond du Lac, Barb Steinmetz (Jody Leal) of Oswego, IL, Edward (Lynn) Schneider of Fond du Lac, and Jacquelyn (Tom) Ohlinger of Fond du Lac, twenty grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, a sister, Dorothy Schneider of New Holstein, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Francis, two sisters, Leona Dembowski and Esther Schneider, and a daughter in law, Janell.



VISITATION: Tuesday, August 24, 2010 from 4-8 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Francis Home Chapel, 33 Everett St, Fond du Lac with the Revernd Joe Wolf officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
