Frances Jane Nietman

Frances Jane Nietman, age 78 of 507 5th Street, died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born in Fond du Lac on February 6, 1930 the daughter ofFloyd J and Lillian Londre Annis. On June 12, 1954 she married Robert A. Nietman at St. Patrick's Church. Robert preceded her in death on February 24, 2006. Jane was agraduate of Fond du Lac Senior High School Class of 1947. She was employed as a trainer and switch board operator with Wisconsin Telephone Company. Later she worked as an operator with Foy's Answering Service and Fond du Lac Answering Service. She was a longtime active member of St. Patrick's Church and currently a member of Holy Family Parish-Holy Family Church. She was active with the Altar & Rosary Society serving as treasurer. Jane loved playing golf and was a member of the Tuesday Ladies Town & Country/Ledgwood Leagues and most recent of the Oakgreen Ladies League. She was active with the 1947 Class Reunion Committee and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. Jane enjoyed sewing, knitting, and quilting. She volunteered at St. Agnes Hospital in the shampoo room.Survivors include two children, Nancy A. Nietman, Richmond, Virginia and Michael J. Nietman, Madison, and one brother John (Pat) Annis, Milwaukee. Her parents and her husband preceded her in death.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Friday, November 21, 2008 from 4 to 8 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Family Church, 271 4th Street Way, Fond du Lac. Reverend Gary Wegner will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of The Risen Christ Mausoleum.
