Frances M. Haensgen, 86, formerly of N8890 Mallard Lane, and currently a resident of Woodlands Senior Park since March of 2008, died Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at Froedtert Lutheran Memorial Hospital in Milwaukee. She was born October 4, 1924, in Johnsburg, the daughter of Clem and Helen Schmitz Olig. On April 6, 1948, she married Clarence C. Haensgen at St. John The Baptist Church in Johnsburg. He preceded her in death on May 12, 2008. Frances was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Johnsburg and the Altar and Rosary Society. She was formerly employed by Wells Manufacturing and Fond du Lac Canvas Products. For 38 years, she and her husband farmed in the Marytown area. Surviving are three daughters, Judith (Donald) Simon and Eileen (David) Grebe, both of Fond du Lac, and Cynthia (James) Dethardt of Little Chute, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister, Mary Agnes Haensgen of Fond du Lac, three sisters-in-law, Rosie Haensgen, Rosemary Olig, and Anna Mae Olig, all of Fond du Lac, three brothers-in-law, Sylvester Haensgen of Fond du Lac, Orville (Mildred) Haensgen, of Johnsburg, and Ervin Bartel of Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Joseph, three brothers, Leander, Orville, and Conrad Olig, two sisters, Helen Koenigs and Julianna Olig, a sister-in-law, Adell Bartel, and three brothers-in-law, Marvin, Leander, and Alfred "Fritz" Haensgen.
Visitation for Frances M. Haensgen will be on Sunday, October 24, 2010, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and on Monday, October 25th from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at St. John the Baptist Church, N9288 County W, Johnsburg. Mass of Christian will be celebrated at 11:30 AM on Monday at the church. The Reverend Joseph Coerber will officiate. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Frances' name.
