Francis J. Simon, age 86, of N7889 County Trunk C, Eldorado, died Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at All About Life Rehabilitation Center. He was born on March 29, 1919 in Fond du Lac County the son of Michael and Rosa Koenen Simon. On September 24, 1940 he married Joan M. Snider at St. John's Church, Woodhull. Francis farmed and worked at A.H. Blumke for thirty-five years selling John Deere Tractors. He served as Town Chairman and Supervisor for the Town of Eldorado and he was a member of the Eldorado Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of Our Risen Savior Catholic Church, Woodhull. Francis enjoyed hunting, golfing, baseball, auctions, and bowling. SURVIVORS: his wife, Joan Simon of Eldorado, four children, Michael (Joanne) Simon of Berlin, James Simon of Neenah, Mary Jo (Larry) Czoschke of Eldorado, Mark Simon of Rosendale, nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, four brothers and one sisters, Ambrose (Mildred) Simon of Rosendale, Cyril (Athleen) Simon of St. Peter, Alex Simon of Fond du Lac, Robert Simon of Wisconsin Veteran's Home, King, WI, and Natalie Basler of North Fond du Lac. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Sr. Judith Simon, two sisters, Elvira Dubberstein, Cres Marggi, two brothers in law, Ralph Basler and Ed Dubberstein, and one sister in law, Delores "Babe" Simon.
VISITATION: Thursday, February 16, 2006 from 2-7 P.M. at Our Risen Savior Catholic Church Woodhull. FUNERAL: Thursday, February 16, 2006 a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7:00 P.M. at Our Risen Savior Catholic Church, Woodhull with the Rev. John Simon officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. A special thank you to Dr. Robert House of Ripon who tried so hard to make Francis well.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
