FRANK F. FAUBELFrank F. Faubel, age 90 of 741 Security Drive, died Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at AuroraMedical Center, Oshkosh. He was born in Waukesha on October 25, 1919 the son of Rudolf and Matilda Mortenson Faubel. On June 26, 1954 he married Gladys Fransisco in Dubuque, Iowa. He was a graduate of Fond du Lac Senior High School. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. He received his Bronze Star 60 years after being discharged. Frank was employed with Giddings & Lewis for over 37 years as a inspector and foreman retiring in 1983. He was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, VFW Post 1904, G & L Oldsters, and Oakfield Conservation Club serving as a cook for a number of years at the annual corn roast. North Fond du Lac Rod & Gun Club, Director of Green Wings Ducks Unlimited. Frank also was a trustee and volunteer for National Mutual Benefit and served as chairman of Walleye Weekend Boat Launch Security. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, sheeps head and loved his family.SURVIVORS: his wife Gladys Faubel, Fond du Lac, two children, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, survives Frank. David (Judi) Faubel, Fond du Lac and their children, Matthew (Carrie) Faubel, and their children, Jasmine and Alyssa, Kristie (Patrick) Luckow, Diane (Walter) Martin and their children, Craig (Kelly) Martin, Daniel Martin, Barbara (Justin) Laning and their daughter Miranda, daughter "“in-law Judy Faubel, Menasha and her children, Carrie (Timothy) Waters and their children, LeRoy, Nathan, and Katherine, Frank (Deann) Faubel and their children, Karissa, Frank, Emily and Rachel. He is further survived by a brother William Faubel, Appleton, two sisters, Esther Blakely, Fond du Lac, Mildred Flanders, Carlsbad, NM and a sister-in-law, Luzine Peitz, Fond du Lac. His parents, two sons, Jerome W. in 1955 and Frank E Faubel in 1977, three brother-in-laws, Don Blakely, Roland Flanders, Norbert Peitz and sister-in-law, Alice Faubel, preceded Frank in death.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Friday, January 15, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 16, 2010 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1600 South Main Street, Fond du Lac.Reverend Michael Zuberbier will officiate. Burial will follow in Rienzi Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Trier-Puddy American Legion Post No. 75 will conduct military graveside services.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
