Frank J. Lamb, 72, of North Fond du Lac, was called home on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 21, 2015 after a three year courageous battle with leukemia. He was born December 18, 1942 in Fond du Lac, the son of Elmer and Marie Balthazor Lamb. Frank graduated from Horace Mann High School in North Fond du Lac. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1964 – 1970. On January 30, 1965 he married the love of his life, Mary Kaminskas at Presentation Church in North Fond du Lac and Frank devoted his life to taking care of her. He worked for Mercury Marine for over 38 years, retiring in 2005. He was a lifelong member of Presentation Church. He enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers and had a love for golf and actually got quite a few rounds in this spring. Frank loved time spent with family, watching his grandchildren’s sporting events; where his voice was sure to he heard in the stands. His face was well known in North Fond du Lac as he enjoyed taking his daily four mile walk.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Lamb; his children, Jeff (Michelle) Lamb, Annette (Darin Garbisch) Lamb, and Michelle (Michael) Brunelli, all of North Fond du Lac; seven grandchildren, Tyler (Bailey Kaiser) Lamb, Adam (Kelly Buechel) Lamb, Kyle (Sam Rische) Lamb, Kayla (Robert) Bullock, Kenny Wallender, Elise (Chad Borley) Lamb, and Alex Brunelli; three great grandchildren, Lilly, Maci, and Harrison Lamb. He is further survived by two sisters, Karen (Rod) Kresal of Green Lake and Kathleen Morris of North Fond du Lac; two brothers, Don (Janine) Lamb and David (Judy) Lamb, all of North Fond du Lac; three brothers-in-law, Wally (Sue) Kaminskas of Janesville, Bob (Nancy) Kaminskas of Rosendale, and John Kaminskas of Oshkosh; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law, Walt and Marie Kaminskas; brother-in-law, Tim Morris; sister-in-law, Patti Kaminskas; niece, Cherie Seefeldt; nephews, Scott Kaminskas and Dustin Lamb; and special friend, Del Gieschen.
The visitation will be held from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm on Friday, June 26, 2015 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home.
The memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on June 26, 2015 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Dominic officiating. Entombment will be in Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.
The family extends a special thank you to the Doctors and staff of Carbone Cancer Center in Madison, Agnesian Healthcare and Cancer Center, Agnesian Hospice Hope and Fond du Lac Lutheran Home for their care and compassion given to Frank and his family. Also to the many relatives and friends, especially Mooner and extended family at FarVu Golf Course for all their help and support.
