Frank L. Eggers, age 89, went to heaven peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday January 7, 2011. He was born on September 24, 1921 in Fond du Lac, the son of Frank "Ike" and Nora (Kraus) Eggers. Frank was in the United States Army serving in World War II. On February 3, 1951 he married Dorothy Moses at the Church of Peace in Fond du Lac. They celebrated fifty-eight years together in 2010. Frank worked as a floor manager for a traveling roller skating business. Frank also hauled milk while he built West Side Lanes with his hard work and help from friends, family, and his wife Dorothy. Together they owned and operated the family bowling business for thirty-four years. He sponsored many softball teams. Frank enjoyed trapshooting, hunting in Montana, Alaska, and Wyoming with his great hunting buddies. He enjoyed fishing with his daughter and sons in law in Canada. He also enjoyed traveling each year with his wife to Mexico, Jamaica, Hawaii, and other states. Frank enjoyed spending time with his three daughters families and good friends at his farm up north. The farm had many great memories for family reunions, softball teams, and snowmobile clubs. Everyone there always got to enjoy Frank's pancakes, campfires, storytelling and Weasel Beasel Hunting. He spent many weekends watching his grandchildren play sports and he enjoyed spending warm winters in Arizona with his other grandchildren. In his last few years, he enjoyed shaking dice, and spending time with his great-grandchildren.
