Frankie E. Conger, age 80, of 755 Security Dr, Fond du Lac, died Monday, December 01, 2008 at Hospice Home of Hope. He was born on February 11, 1928 in the Town of Osceola, the son of Ernest and LaVerne (Phipps) Conger. On September 23, 1950 he married Charlotte Cook in Oakfield. She preceded him in death on July 7, 1987. Frankie was a graduate of Oakfield High School in 1945. He served in the United States Army from April 1946-September 1947, stationed in the Philippine Islands. Frank's first job was at age eleven where he worked at Better Farms in Oakfield Township. Through the years he worked at Romart Mfg., Oakfield Shale Brick & Tile Co., Mammoth Spring Canning Co., and Sadoff Iron & Metal Co. In 1970 Frank and Charlotte purchased a farm in the Town of Lamartine. He enjoyed raising cattle and driving tractor until retirement in 2000.SURVIVORS: his son and daughter in law, Larry and Debbie Conger of Fond du Lac, companion and friend Malita Patchett of Fond du Lac, Malita's daughter, Mary (Jerry) Boehlen of Fond du Lac, brothers in law, Bill (Bernice) Cook of Brownsville, Chuck (Pat) Cook of Rifle, CO, sisters in law, AnnaLee Guelzow of Crawford, NB, Mary (Herb) Scharf of Fond du Lac, Idella of West Palm Beach, FL, P.J. Schupert of Lexington, OK, Marion Cook of Oakfield, and Janet (Jack) Vermeer of Fond du Lac, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Charlotte, one brother Alvin, Charlotte's brothers, Bob and L.V., and Charlotte's sister EllaMae.



VISITATION: Wednesday, December 3, 2008 from 3-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 7:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with the Reverend James F.D. Martin officiating. Entombment will take place at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Hospice Home of Hope, or to the Church of Peace.Additional information and guestbook can be found at www.ueckerwitt.comUecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
