Franklin W. Miller, 83, formerly of 388 14th St, Fond du Lac, died Saturday, July 14, 2007 at Deerview Meadows Assisted Living. He was born on March 19, 1924 in Fond du Lac the son of Wendell and Rose Heider Miller. On June 17, 1950 he married Annabelle Kind at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. Franklin worked at Quick Freeze and other maintenance jobs and until working at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home in the maintenance department for 26 years retiring in 1989. He enjoyed collecting clocks and bells, roller-skating and loved to travel. Franklin was a loving husband and Annabelle's best friend for over fifty-five years.SURVIVORS: two sisters, Dorothy Thorpe of Fond du Lac, Joyce (Conrad) Schneider of Fond du Lac; one brother, John (Barbara) Miller of Ripon; special nephew and niece, Randy (Roxanne) Kind of Fond du Lac; never blessed with any children of their own, Franklin and Annabelle had many with their thirty-eight nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Annabelle and two sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" (Fred) Mischo, Kathryn "Jean" (Robert) Leitner and brother-in-law, Donald Thorpe.
VISITATION: Wednesday, July 18, 2007 from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Rev. Shari Routh officiating. Entombment will follow at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Advantage Hospice, Creative Care Options and the staff of Deerview Meadows Assisted Living, especially Michelle.In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to Advantage Hospice, Creative Care Options or Deerview Meadows Assisted Living.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
