Gary D. Baatz

Gary D. Baatz, 74, of North Fond du Lac, died Thursday, October 6, 2022 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born October 7, 1947 in Fond du Lac, the son of Arnold and Flora (Zwicky) Baatz. Gary served in the U.S. Navy. After serving his country he worked for Mercury Marine until his retirement. Gary married Marilyn J. Blish on December 26, 1970 at Church of Peace and she preceded him in death on June 16, 2011. He enjoyed playing Bingo and collecting stamps and coins.

He is survived by three children, Bob Blish, Jessie Baatz, and Stacey Barney; six grandchildren, Nathan Blish, Corey (Ashley) Blish, Crystal Fix, Jasmine Fix, Austin Baatz, and Thomas Barney; one great grandson, Kane Blish; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marilyn; and two siblings.

The visitation will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The memorial service will be held Saturday at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will follow in Estabrooks Cemetery.
