Gary L. Dilts

Gary L. Dilts, 68, of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, January 26, 2017 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born in Fond du Lac on September 2, 1948 to Lyle and Audrey (Schroeder) Dilts. On December 28, 1985, Gary married Sheila Fischer at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac.



Gary loved his children and grandchildren. He worked at Mercury Marine for 41 years, retiring in 2009. Gary was a member of the Fond du Lac Bowling Association for over 40 years. For over 3 decades, he served as secretary, and then manager, of the association. In addition, he was a member of the Fond du Lac Bowling Association Hall of Fame. He loved bowling, golf and the Green Bay Packers.



Survivors include his wife, Sheila; 3 children, Julie (Jeff) Pinno of Lamartine, Tyler of West Bend and Tara Dilts (Jason Miller) of Beaver Dam; 3 grandchildren, Raven Miller, Jaiden and Justice Pinno; 1 brother, Dennis (Leona Ebert); 1 sister, Barb Barton; his mother-in-law, Patricia Fischer; his close friend, Gary (Mary Jo) Hilbert; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Gary was preceded in death by his parents.



Visitation will be held from 9 AM – 1 PM on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. The funeral service will begin at 1 PM with burial to follow in Estabrooks Cemetery.
