Gary L. Zimpher, 54, of 149 Guindon Boulevard, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at his home. He was born December 7, 1955, in Fond du Lac, the son of Bernard and Victorine Lichtensteiger Zimpher. On June 7, 1981, he married Sharon Dickie at the Church of Peace in Fond du Lac. Gary was currently employed by the West Shore Group in Fond du Lac. He formerly was employed by Michaels Corporation for over 10 years, and Damrow Brothers for 24 years. Among Gary's interests were cooking, gardening and his love of the outdoors, watching the Packers, and attending classic car shows. He was a jokester, had a great love for kids, and family meant the world to him. He was a veteran of the US Army. Surviving is his wife, Sharon, a daughter, Stacy (Blaise) Guell and a son, Jeremy Zimpher, both of Fond du Lac, a sister, Diane Bader of Waterloo, WI, and four brothers, Bernie (Gail) Zimpher and Robert Zimpher, both of Fond du Lac, Ron (Caroline) Zimpher of Fairwater, and Dennis (Diane) Zimpher, of Fond du Lac. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. His parents preceded him in death.
Visitation for Gary L. Zimpher will be on Sunday, May 23, 2010, from 4 to 7 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 7 pm at the funeral home on Sunday. The Rev.
