Gary N. Wegner, 81 of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Hospice Home of Hope. He was born in Waupaca on August 19, 1933 the son of Nelson and Lillian Rasmussen Wegner. On October 25, 1958 he married Barbara H. Davis at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Fond du Lac. Barbara preceded him in death on February 17, 2012. Gary was a graduate of Waupaca High School. He was in the National Guards and later served in the Korean War serving in the U.S. Air Force as a Airman First Class Crew Chief serving from February 4, 1953 to March 4, 1957. He worked at Northern Casket Company and later Gary was employed as a semi-truck driver for over 30 years traveling in all 48 states. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, NASCAR, and the Green Bay Packers.
SURVIVORS: Gary is survived by two sons, Terry (Penny) Wegner, Waupun and Tony Wegner, Omro, two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Jamie. He is further survived by a brother-in-law Don Davis, Green Bay and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one sister Carol.
VISITATION: Friends may call on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 Noon at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Reverend J.D. McCarty will officiate. Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75 will conduct military services. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of The Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
