Genevieve E. Junaitis

September 16, 1919 — October 29, 2011

Genevieve E. Junaitis, 92, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Woodlands Senior Park. She was born September 16, 1919 in Dotyville, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Benedict Fox. On May 30, 1942 she married Selmer Leu and he preceded her in death in December of 1944 while serving in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Battle of the Bulge. On September 17, 1949 she married Frank V. Junaitis in Dotyville and he preceded her in death on February 26, 1980. Genevieve worked as a housekeeper for the Sisters of the Holy Nativity for 20 years retiring in 1988. She was a member of Presentation Parish, North Fond du Lac since 1949. She also volunteered for the Salvation Army, Loaves and Fishes. Genevieve enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint, gardening, watching the Milwaukee Braves and Brewers, and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.SURVIVORS: three children, Kenneth (Sharon) Leu, Green Lake, Carol (Roger) Hintz, Eldorado, Karen (Gary) Theisen, Fond du Lac; six grandchildren, Michael (Chris) Leu, Mark (Carol) Leu, Greg (Heidi) Hintz, Sue (Dominic) Miller, Emily and Erin Theisen; seven great grandchildren. She is further survived by siblings, Viola Bohlman, Jerome (Dorothy) Fox, Bernice Evenson, Elmer (Ruth) Fox, Mary Wagner, all of Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; two sisters, Frances Gremminger and Virginia Hess; six brothers, William, Sylvester, Lawrence, Gilbert, Benjamin, John.



VISITATION: will be held from 4 "“ 8 PM on Monday, October 31, 2011 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Tuesday from 10 "“ 11 AM at the church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Presentation Parish, North Fond du Lac with Rev. John Simon officiating. Entombment will follow at the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
