George A. Brockway

George A. Brockway, age 92, died Friday, May 15, 2009 at Harbor Haven Nursing Home. He was born on November 28, 1916 in Fond du Lac, the son of Andrew and Claira (Bessey) Brockway. George served in World War II and was a POW. George was a hard worked who loved carpentry and fixing things for people. He loved animals and enjoyed fishing.SURVIVORS: two special friends, Mary Whitman and Florence Hansen both of Fond du Lac, and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his two wives, beloved friend, Violet Hansen, and one brother and two sisters.



VISITATION: Tuesday, May 26, 2009 from 9-11 A.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. FUNERAL: Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Captain Deborah Winkler of the Salvation Army will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75 will conduct military graveside honors.Additional information and guestbook can be found at www.ueckerwitt.comUecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
