George J. Kunda

George J. Kunda, age 87, of Fond du Lac, died Friday, March 03, 2017 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born on March 12, 1929 in Milwaukee, the son of Jacob and Kathrine (Stefaniak) Kunda. On February 27, 1953 he married Audrey “Jane” Braatz in San Francisco. George served in the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant for twenty years retiring on December 1, 1970. He then went on to work for the Chicago Northwestern railroad for seventeen years until retiring on May 31, 1991.



Survivors include his wife, Audrey of Fond du Lac; one son, Danny (Dawn) Kunda of Adell, WI; one daughter, Dianne (Bruce) Krewald of Plymouth, WI; four granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Raymond Kunda of Franklin, WI; and Ann Kunda of Fond du Lac; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson; two sisters; and six brothers.



Visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 12 noon to 3:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the traditional service. Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75 will conduct military honors following the service.
